Brighton beat Tottenham 4-2 to snap their opponents' three-game winning run and climb up to eighth in the Premier League, six points behind Tottenham who stay in fifth. Joao Pedro set up Hinshelwood to open the scoring in a thrilling game and scored the second himself from the penalty spot. Half-time substitute Estupinan scored a goal of the season contender to put Brighton three up just after the hour, and a fourth arrived via another Joao Pedro penalty. Both goalkeepers were called into the action, while the posts were rattled multiple times, but Tottenham's comeback fell short as they could not add to goals from Veliz and Davies in the final 10 minutes. Tottenham will look to respond to this defeat when they host Bournemouth on Sunday, while Brighton head to West Ham on Tuesday for their next match.
